Gareth Hughes is a British dressage rider who grew up in Australia and competed in various equestrian disciplines as a child. He returned to England at age 23 and won over 30 National and International titles.
Gareth has amassed over 30 National and International Titles, including international wins at Small Tours and Grand Prix in the UK and abroad. He represented Great Britain at the Nations Cup in Rotterdam in 2012, was short-listed for the 2011 European Championships and long-listed for the London 2012 Olympic Games. The greatest accolade was to come when in 2013, Gareth was part of the Bronze Medal-winning team at the FEI European Dressage Championships in Herning, capping off an already phenomenal year, where he was already the winner of two nation cup team competitions. He then represented Great Britain at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in 2014, putting in a great performance to help secure the team a Silver Medal. Gareth won Gold for Great Britain at the 2023 FEI European Championships in Riesenbeck.
He and wife Rebecca, run Hughes Dressage in Warwickshire (UK) and Gareth consults internationally.
