Sergeant Antonia Guterres is a Royal Australian Air Force Sergeant and Loadmaster at 35 Squadron, operating on the C-27J Spartan. A JPC alumnus from the Class of 2011, Antonia has built a remarkable career defined by service, courage and dedication to others.
Joining the RAAF in 2016 with no family ties to the Defence Force, Antonia was drawn to the Loadmaster role by its combination of challenge and purpose. Responsible for cargo operations aft of the flight deck, she has participated in missions across the South East Pacific region – from Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief operations in the Solomon Islands to Military Free Fall operations with paratroopers at Jervis Bay Air Field, New South Wales.
A profound moment came in 2017 during Exercise Talisman Sabre, when the loss of a close friend and the subsequent repatriation flight deepened her commitment to serving others.
Career highlights include a Silver Commendation for strengthening the Loadmaster recruitment process and being featured in the 2024 Air Force campaign, Up There.
