Christopher Mountford is the Chief Executive Officer of Independent Schools Queensland (ISQ), the peak body championing the interests of independent schools across Queensland. A JPC alumnus from the Class of 1999, Christopher has built a distinguished career spanning more than two decades in member-based advocacy, government relations and industry leadership.
After graduating from the University of Queensland with degrees in Political Science and Economics, Christopher developed deep expertise in government regulation and policy, engaging with leaders ranging from premiers and mayors to ASX-listed CEOs and not-for-profit executives.
Prior to his appointment as CEO of ISQ in June 2021, Christopher served seven years as Queensland Executive Director of the Property Council of Australia, leading the organisation's policy, government advocacy and commercial activities. In 2018, he was named among the Courier Mail's Top 100 Most Influential People in Queensland.
Christopher is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
