After being appointed as one of the youngest-ever partners at leading independent firm McCullough Robertson in 2002, John Paul College graduate Matthew Burgess has since succeeded in the Law industry. In 2014, Matthew co-founded a specialist law firm, View Legal, and his specialisation in tax, structuring, asset protection, estate and succession planning has seen him recognised by most leading industry associations, including the Tax Institute, the Weekly Tax Bulletin and the 2014 ‘Best Lawyers’ list for trusts and estates and either personally, or as part of View, since 2015 in ‘Doyles’ for taxation and since 2017 for wills, estates and succession planning.

Having presented over 100 seminars and training programs annually since 2001, Matthew Burgess has carved out an enviable speaking reputation. A sought-after presenter for many leading tax, accounting, and legal associations, Matthew also regularly presents to financial institutions, investment houses, and insurance companies directly in purely technical areas for advisers and more practically focused sessions for clients.

In early 2006, Matthew gave away the family television and started publishing children's books in his newfound spare time. He also published 20 legal texts, five business books and four joke books.
