Lara Korhammer (née Hooiveld)

Lara Korhammer became John Paul College’s first Olympian at 17 years of age. She was selected to compete in the 1988 Seoul Olympics for the 100m and 200m Breaststroke events and the 4 x 100m Medley Relay. In 1990, Lara went on to become a Gold Medalist at the Commonwealth Games held in Auckland, New Zealand – a medal she subsequently gifted to the College.
