When Ryan Gaskin found Goose and Maverick from the hit Hollywood movie Top Gun and went on a field trip to the RAAF Base Amberley, he found his passion for the armed services and future career ambition. Ryan credits the discipline and structured education he received at JPC for preparing him well for a career in the Navy.
Initially aiming to become a pilot, Ryan later found his calling as a Maritime Warfare Officer. Over the past 26 years, Ryan has progressed from midshipman to captain, earning various medals for his service.
As Director Navy International Engagement within the Navy headquarters in the ACT, Ryan continues to lead and serve alongside dedicated men and women, aspiring to join the Navy Seniors Leadership Group.
