Lina Kim-Wheatstone is now living her dream as a ballet dancer with the Queensland Ballet. Her passion for dance began at the age of four, and she never wavered in her pursuit of becoming a professional dancer. Relocating from South Korea to Australia with limited English, she found her ballet talent nurtured by dance teacher Janice Heale at John Paul College.
Seeking additional training in Year 10, Lina joined the Queensland Dance School of Excellence, leading her to the pre-professional program at Queensland Ballet in 2010 and eventually becoming a soloist in 2016. Lina's talent has taken her internationally, performing in London and China. Despite a demanding schedule, she feels privileged to dance the roles she once admired, encouraging others to follow their passions willingly.
Lina has also opened LINA dancewear, where she creates bespoke handmade designer leotards for beginners to principal dancers.
