Luke Trouchet has come a long way from his handball-playing days at JPC to become the CEO of Apollo Tourism & Leisure Ltd (ATL), a leading manufacturer, importer, and retailer of recreational vehicles such as motorhomes, campervans, and caravans.
After studying law at QUT, he joined the family business and eventually took over as CEO with his brother Karl as CFO. ATL has expanded internationally with a fleet of over 5,000 vehicles across Australia, Canada, the United States and New Zealand. The business expanded into the European market after acquiring Camperco Group Ltd in the UK and Ireland. The company went public in 2016 to fund its global acquisition strategy, and the brothers still own more than 50% of the company, ensuring that family values are still firmly entrenched within the culture.
He moved into the role of Executive Director at Tourism Holdings Limited (thl) as part of the merger between Apollo Tourism & Leisure and thl in December 2022.
Luke attributes his success to "tenacity and a bit of luck" and credits his JPC education for giving him the confidence to engage with stakeholders.
