Clare Ferguson (née McMeniman)

As the QLD Firebirds vice-captain, Clare Ferguson was one of three QLD Firebird players to hold three premiership titles with the team (2011, 2015 and 2016). In 2014, Clare was fortunate enough to earn her Australian Diamonds debut before being appointed as the Australian Diamonds captain in 2016. 

Today, Clare juggles a myriad of commitments. She and her good friend Laura Geitz run the highly successful Fuel2Fly programme, she is a Suncorp #TeamGirls Ambassador and continues to practise as a speech pathologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. 

Clare commentates for Suncorp Super Netball and will guide Australia’s next generation of national players through her appointment as a specialist defensive coach with her beloved Diamonds.
